Not me over here sobbing at panic attacks and buying the old home lot to plant a garden. This was gorgeous, and killed me and thank those giant meatballs for humor. Because nothing says classy like laughing while snot runs in with your tears. ❤️ This one hit hard Ash.
You just made my night. Weirdly, I ATE MEATBALLS TONIGHT. I really did! Also weirdly (and so sadly), the realtor says someone JUST went under contract for the land this morning. So, stay tuned while we slash some tires....!!!!!!!! Omg I'm kidding but I mean I had the thought 🤣
That is the SWEETEST compliment. It's so nice to see how others perceive you, sometimes!!!! I'LL TAKE ALL OF THAT, THANK YOUUUUU. 🤣 Just gotta work on figuring out the best way to use the paper / repeats without tons of accidental, "oops, I'm an idiot" waste - lots of areas are just tiny sections above a door frame, or the drop doesn't go all the way down to the floor leaving a 1' gap, so I'm trying not to be wasteful. Definitely consider for a future article for your Substack, my favorite interior design guru!!!!!
Beautiful post. Yes it is easier to break through if you start with what you know and tack on the stuff you don't. Right now I am teaching Pilates which I have done for a thousand years. very good at it and it bores the crap out of me.
Trying desperately to get out for good trying to leap into new online niches. But it is what I know best and do so well people beg me to teach more.
I helped a student set up her own studio just by sending some links to the equipment and realized I can do a pilates site on how to build your own studio and sell equipment. I can start locally just doing what I already did with her and then expand start with in person home lessons. Add videos later so I dont have to teach in person just each series once and let em watch them over and over. take something that is so comfortable to me and expand it into something online. then do it with things that interest me more.
Hi, Kate! It's just me. :) But you can go into your settings anytime, and do all sorts of things with your subscription. You can also hit "unsubscribe" at the bottom of any email.
Lovely post, Ash! You made me laugh, smile, and forgive myself. You inspired me.
Hi, Christiana!!! I just read your last post on Substack and ENTIRELY WENT DOWN THE RABBIT HOLE. You also inspire me.
XO

Mentally slashing tires with you. 🗡️👀
My mother’s garden is a lovely theme Ash!!!
I was just looking for an excuse to have so much House of Hackney floral wallpaper ;) ;) ;) BUT ALSO BECAUSE I AM A SENTIMENTAL CROTCH. WE KNOW THIS.
Wait until you see what kind of nuttiness I've concocted for the kitchen, Elle. You might actually have to divert your eyes.
HOH has the best patterns!!! I’m sure the kitchen will be charming, enthusiastic and tongue in cheek, just like YOU!! I expect nothing less. 😊

Ash...we had a frozen pipes scare this weekend, too. So not fun. But also also, keeping your taps running can help prevent freezing so you don't have to risk broken pipes every day... though see the numerous nuances and caveats here: https://www.reddit.com/r/Plumbing/comments/se0nol/leave_the_water_running_so_it_doesnt_freeze_or_not/
